He continues to research the health effects of medical cannabis and its role in cancer care, most  recently serving on the prestigious National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine’s Committee of The Health Effects of Cannabis and Cannabinoids: “The Current State of Evidence and Recommendations for Research.” His research has lent support to the powerful anti-emetic and pain-relieving properties that may make cannabis a useful complementary therapy in cancer care.
