Overview of Position

The Cultivation Assistant provides the daily care and focused attention necessary to produce medical cannabis of the highest quality for our patients. The successful candidate will possess a passion for controlled environment agriculture and a willingness to continually learn more about the subject. This entry­ level position offers the opportunity to learn and grow with the company from the ground up, and to take on increasing levels of responsibility over time.

Duties and Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the Cultivation Assistant include all aspects of the daily care of medical cannabis plants from propagation to harvest; managing environmental variables to ensure optimal plant health and maximize products of medicinal compounds; and maintaining stringent standards of cleanliness, sanitation and overall biosecurity in and around the cultivation areas of the Maui Grown Therapies Production Centers.

Crop care
Implements daily feeding & care schedule as directed by the Director of Production
Maintains consistency, uniformity and accuracy when performing crop care at all stages of growth
Conducts routine visual inspection of plants to ensure early identification and correction of nutrient deficiencies or pest problems and reports findings to the Director of Production
Manages crop propagation to meet inventory requirements as directed by Director of Production
Data Logging

Maintains accurate records of reservoirs, equipment and other crop related logs assigned by Director of Production
Accurately scan inventory into designated location(s)
Facility and equipment maintenance
o Calibrates, cleans and stores pH/PPM meters

Maintains and ensures proper storage of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to: shop vacs, pumps, hoses, carts, scissors, loppers, stools, gloves, rags, and safety
Cleans/sanitizes pots to ensure that to ensure continuous availability for repotting
o Completes daily and periodic cleaning tasks as assigned. Daily cleaning consists of: sweeping and spot mopping all areas on the cultivation floor, common bathroom, break room, and loading area

o Ensures proper disposal of non-plant waste at the end of each day

Miscellaneous
Assists in completing other secondary cultivation tasks at the direction of the Director of Production according to company needs
Follows all aspects of the workplace safety program, biosecurity program, and compliance with all rules and regulations
Maintains a clean, safe environment inside the cultivation area
Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

2 years’ post-secondary education in horticulture, agriculture, biology, chemistry or related field preferred

Work Experience Required

Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges

1+ year experience in agriculture, horticulture, botany, or related field strongly preferred

Required Knowledge

Knowledge of basic computer & office equipment operations, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of plant biology or chemistry related to plant nutrition an advantage

Overview of Position

The Patient Care Specialist (“PCS”) is the welcoming face of Maui Grown Therapies. PCS team members build trust with MGT patients by knowledgably meeting their product needs with compassion and integrity. The successful candidate will possess outstanding customer service skills, be an exceptional listener with a personable disposition, continuously strive to improve service skills and product knowledge, and work effectively as a teammate in a close-knit, service intensive retail environment. This is an entry level position that offers successful candidates an opportunity to learn and grow with Hawai`i’s leading medical cannabis company.

Duties and Responsibilities

The PCS closely interacts with patients in person at the Company’s dispensaries and virtually via telephone, email, chat and streaming media. Additional duties include:

Greeting patients in person or virtually; scheduling appointments; assisting with patient intake and 329 card renewal procedures
Responsible for conducting patient sales transactions accurately and timely
Maintains patient records in compliance with all applicable laws and Company policies
Answers questions about Hawai`I medical cannabis laws and MGT from patients, prospective patients, and caregivers
Maintains a working knowledge of the Department of Health’s 329 patient certification program
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of MGTs products and services
Assists patients in assessing MGTs product and service options
Shares aggregated patient reviews and latest research reports collated by MGT management and the Science and Medical Advisory Board (“SMA”) to assist patients in understanding how products may help them achieve their goals
Establish and nurture relationships with past, current, and future patients
Complete administrative tasks as assigned, such as online menu audits, e-commerce and loyalty program revisions
Offer suggestions to teammates that may improve service or product offerings centered on patient reports or concerns
Rapidly troubleshoot and solve patient concerns at the point of sale
Manage daily tasks to ensure operational standards are properly followed and completed
Promptly respond to online patient registrations
Confirm and assemble online orders
Assists the Dispensary Manager with inventory and daily and weekly cash management
Maintains a clean, safe, welcoming environment inside and outside the facility
Other duties as may be assigned by the Dispensary Manager
Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

2 year post-secondary education in a related field preferred

Work Experience Required

2+ years’ experience in a fast-paced client-service intensive industry – hospitality and retail backgrounds preferred

Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept, lead, and complete additional projects or challenges

Required Knowledge

Computer & equipment operations necessary for running an office/retail center (POS systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)

Understanding of Hawai`i laws and regulations governing medical cannabis

Overview of Position

Maui Wellness Group, LLC (“Company”) is a regulated enterprise supervised by the Hawai’i Department of Health (“HDOH”) and Department of Public Safety Narcotics Enforcement Division (“NED”).

The Logistics Manager’s primary responsibility is to ensure the uninterrupted supply of goods to dispensary outlets through strategic coordination and management of the entire order cycle. This includes timing the manufacturing, testing, processing (trimming, packing, labelling) and dispatching of final goods to dispensary locations. The Logistics Manager will also manage the purchasing and delivery of any production inputs to ensure an uninterrupted flow of the order cycle.

Primary Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Direct, Optimize, Coordinate the Full Order Cycle

  1. Manage the manufacturing and processing calendar to ensure products are tested and packed in time to maintain uninterrupted supply of goods to dispensary locations.
  2. Manage the testing calendar of bulk goods (dried flower and manufactured goods) to ensure an uninterrupted supply of goods to dispensary locations.
  3. Manage the fulfillment of product requests from all dispensary outlets
  4. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times
  5. Manage the purchasing of inputs for production center to ensure uninterrupted flow of production and dispensary order fulfillment.
  6. Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
  7. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
  8. Supervise, coach, and train processing workforce
  9. Comply with compliance obligations, laws and regulations
  10. Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  11. Resolve any arising problems or complaints

Requirements and skills

  • Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Ability to learn new software (seed to sale tracking and logistics management) quickly and to an intermediate-advanced level
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail

Overview of Position

Maui Wellness Group, LLC (“Company”) is a regulated enterprise supervised by the Hawai`i Department of Health (“HDOH”) and Department of Public Safety Narcotics Enforcement Division (“NED”).

This position is responsible for the careful processing of dry cannabis flower from stalk to finished flower for sale according to Company quality standards as well as ensuring proper tracking of batches processed and manicured, including the final finished product (flower), the usable by-product amount (trim) and the unusable by-product (waste) according to company policy and practices as well as HDOH regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

  • Breakdown flowers off of stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from useable product
  • Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch.
  • After breakdown of plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower.
  • Candidate must account for each by-product type processed off the flower (i.e. adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking).
  • Candidate must manicure flower according to Company quality standards; each manicured batch must pass quality inspection by supervisor
  • Identify any problems with the product and communicate with supervisor
  • May be responsible for weighing and packing manicured flower for final sale according to Company standards and procedures

 

Qualifications Education
High school diploma or GED

Work Experience Required
1+ year experience in processing/trimming cannabis.

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to manicure at least 1lb of dry flower per 8-hour period.
  • Candidate must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of cannabis they are trimming; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality.
  • Candidate must exhibit personal hygiene and follow the health guidelines set forth by the Company and the HDOH while processing medical cannabis.
  • Must comply with company safety guidelines and policies with the ability to wear provided PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when necessary, such as: face masks, eyewear, gloves, lab coats, etc. to lessen risk of exposure to potential allergens, and promote a safe working environment.

 Overview of Position:

This position’s primary functions include maintaining the day-to-day financial records of the company while providing daily administrative support including a variety of office related tasks. This position operates under the direct supervision of, and alongside, the Chief Financial Officer.

This position will work on maximizing accuracy and timeliness of accounting data and other crucial information by maintaining financial policies, procedures, controls, records, and reporting systems, as well as managing some aspects of the accounting functions.

Duties and Responsibilities (Accounting Responsibilities):

Responsible for complying with the daily operation of the Company’s accounting, financials, and significant contributions to the formulation, implementation, and administration of corporate-wide policies:

  • Record and maintain Company’s financial records on all company transactions and assets including accounts payable, fixed and capital asset, and depreciation records; general ledger, payroll entries, accounts payable, inventory, fixed asset management, etc., including data coming from other integrated systems

  • Supervise and manage deposits/ transactions/ reporting for operating accounts when required

  • Performs preparation of check runs

  • Prepare bank accounts reconciliation and related bank related tasks

  • Perform a number of key general ledger monthly financial closing tasks in collaboration with the CFO

  • Provide analysis and reconciliation of key balance sheet and P&L accounts as directed by the CFO

  • Assist in maintaining accounting system settings

  • Prepare necessary documentation for taxes as directed by the CFO

Budget & Financial Reporting:

Assists in accounting and financial analysis. Prepares and assists in compiling budgets, forecasts, and financial reports as directed by CFO.

  • Assist in compiling the financial reports for Management team

  • Assist in preparing reports regarding operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and financial effectiveness of the organization (when required)

  • Assist the CFO in preparing reports of the company’s financial position, including special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends

  • Prepare internal reports for managers as requested

  • Assists with preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and control procedures; analyzes and reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent business experience (minimum of 5 years) including payroll, general ledger, financial reports, and expert knowledge of Excel

  • Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus, but not required

  • Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, and particularly Excel; and have knowledge of Accounting, Inventory, and Manufacturing software

  • Proficient in the English language and mathematical skills with the ability to comprehend and interpret written documents, spreadsheets, numerical data, and equations

  • Strong preference for an established Hawaii based resident
