Overview of Position and Successful Candidate Profile
The Patient Care Specialist (“PCS”) is the welcoming face of Maui Grown Therapies. PCS team members build trust with MGT patients by knowledgably meeting their product needs with compassion and integrity. The successful candidate will possess outstanding customer service skills, be an exceptional listener with a personable disposition, continuously strive to improve service skills and product knowledge, and work effectively as teammate in a close-knit, service intensive retail environment. This is an entry level position that offers successful candidates an opportunity to learn and grow with Hawai`i’s leading medical cannabis company.
Duties and Responsibilities
The PCS closely interacts with patients in person at the Company’s dispensaries and virtually via telephone, email, chat, and streaming media. Additional duties include:
- Greeting patients in person or virtually; scheduling appointments; assisting with patient intake and 329 card renewal procedures.
- Responsible for conducting patient sales transactions accurately and timely. Maintains patient records in compliance with all applicable laws and Company policies
- Answers questions about Hawai’i medical cannabis laws and MGT from patients, prospective patients, and caregivers
- Maintains a working knowledge of the Department of Health’s 329 patient certification program
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of MGTs products and services
- Assists patients in assessing MGTs product and service options
- Shares aggregated patient reviews and latest research reports collated by MGT management and the Science and Medical Advisory Board (“SMA”) to assist patients in understanding how products may help them achieve their goals
- Establish and nurture relationships with past, current, and future patients
- Complete administrative tasks as assigned, such as online menu audits, e-commerce, and loyalty program revisions
- Offer suggestions to teammates that may improve service or product offerings centered on patient reports or concerns
- Rapidly troubleshoot and solve patient concerns at the point of sale
- Manage daily tasks to ensure operational standards are properly followed and completed
- Promptly respond to online patient registrations
- Confirm and assemble online orders
- Assists the Dispensary Manager with inventory and daily and weekly cash management
- Maintains a clean, safe, welcoming environment inside and outside the facility
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Dispensary Manager
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
2-year post-secondary education in a related field preferred
Work Experience Required
2+ years’ experience in a fast-paced client-service intensive industry – hospitality and retail backgrounds preferred
Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept, lead, and complete additional projects or challenges
Required Knowledge
Computer & equipment operations necessary for running an office/retail center (POS systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
Understanding of Hawai`i laws and regulations governing medical cannabis
Demonstrable basic inventory and cash management knowhow
Skills and Abilities
- Outstanding phone and in-person customer service skills

Overview of Position and Successful Candidate Profile
The Security Guard monitors the facility parking lot and checks in patients, as well as the entrance and departure of team members, vendors, contractors, patients, and any other persons in and out of the dispensary to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. This position reports to the Security and Facilities Manager. The successful candidate will possess a clean background check; possess great attention to detail; provide excellent customer service and patience for our patients; willing to work a flexible schedule with assist with other duties as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Security Guard is to check in patients and monitor access in and out of the
dispensary by constant surveillance of the parking lot and the facility, helping the dispensary staff control access to the facility in accordance with State Rules and Regulations by following a strict check-in process, and actively monitoring
physical security around the site. This position may also perform other duties related to the successful operation of the
Company as requested by the Security and Facilities Manager.
Operational Duties:
- Patrol the dispensary parking lot and entrance with a keen level of attention to detail especially during times of high activity
- Assist dispensary staff with controlling access to facility by ID examination and verification
- Assist dispensary staff in maintaining access logs of all visitors in compliance with state rules and regulations
- Check in arriving patients and alert them when it is their turn to enter the facility
- Monitor video surveillance system when requested
- In the event of emergency, secure staff, visitors, and building; act as liaison with local police or law enforcement
- Maintain daily written and/or electronic tracking sheets, noting all activity on premises
- Escort staff members or others between vehicles and building as requested
- Assist with additional tasks and duties in other locations as assigned by the SSL Manager
- Document any incidents, accidents, and report them to the SSL Manager
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in private or public security, law enforcement, or other governmental security agencies
- Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges
- Knowledge of computer & office equipment and programs (Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems)
- Ability to follow specific directions and instructions

Compensation: Depending on Experience, $18-20, Starting (Excellent Employee Benefit Package)
Overview of Position
Maui Wellness Group, LLC (“Company”) is a regulated enterprise supervised by the Hawai`i Department of Health (“HDOH”) and Department of Public Safety Narcotics Enforcement Division (“NED”).
The Manufacturing Assistant (“MA”) assists the Director of Product Development (“DPD”) in the execution of day-to-day medical cannabis extraction and secondary processing operations at the Company’s Kula Production Centers (“KPC”).
Duties and Responsibilities
Assisting the DPD in the execution of the weekly supercritical carbon dioxide (“CO2E”), cryomechanical (“CME”), microwave-assisted (“MAE”), and ultrasonic (“UAE”) extraction orders. Specific duties include:
- Organizing batches of inventory designated for extraction;
- Bucking and milling biomass in preparation for extraction;
- Packing & evacuating CO2E vessels;
- Executing service cycles and other routine extraction system maintenance protocols;
- Regularly cleaning and organizing the CO2E room to ensure the highest standards of hygiene and equipment operating conditions are maintained;
- Packing micron bags with biomass designated for CME;
- Logging inventory tracking data and extraction yields;
- Other tasks as may be assigned by the DPD.
Assisting the DPD in the execution of day-to-day secondary processing operations. Specific duties include:
- Ensuring stocks of anhydrous ethanol, glassware and other materials required to sustain uninterrupted secondary processing operations are consistently maintained;
- Regularly cleaning and servicing the rotary evaporators, vacuum distillation systems and other equipment systems used for secondary processing;
- Regularly cleaning and organizing laboratory glassware, stainless steel product handling implements, and other laboratory equipment;
- Regularly sweeping and mopping the secondary processing and final product formulation laboratories;
- Preparing batches of medical cannabis-infused edible products;
- Other tasks as may be assigned by the DPD.
Qualifications
Work Experience Required
- Work history that demonstrates stability, progressive responsibility and willingness to accept newduties, take the initiative, and drive efficiency and innovation.
- Prior heavy equipment operations and maintenance experience strongly preferred;
- Prior laboratory or manufacturing experience preferred;
- Experience working in the context of a regulated industry subject to strict compliance and security requirements an advantage.

- Overtime work may be required to accommodate patient service demand and company deadlines;
