- JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Security Officer
Dept: Security
Location: Kula, Hi
Reports to: Security & Facilities Manager
Overview of Position
The Security Guard monitors the Kula facility parking lot as well as the entrance and
departure of members, staff, vendors, contractors, visitors, and any other persons in
and out of the production center to guard against theft and maintain security of
premises. This position reports to the Security & Facilities Manager. The successful
candidate will possess a clean background check, attention to detail, and the ability to
work a flexible schedule and willingness to assist with other duties as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Security Guard is to monitor access in and out of the
Kula production facility by constant surveillance of the parking lot and the facility,
helping production staff control access to the facility in accordance with State Rules
and Regulations by following a strict check-in process, and actively monitoring
physical security around the site.
This position may also perform other duties related to the successful operation of the
Company as requested by the Security & Facilities Manager.
Operational Duties
• Patrol Kula Production Facility parking lot and entrance with a keen level of
attention to detail especially during times of high activity
• Assist production staff with controlling access to facility by ID examination
and verification
• Assist dispensary staff in maintaining access logs of all visitors in compliance
with state rules and regulations
• Conduct routine patrols and inspections of Kula Production facility and
grounds
• Monitor video surveillance system when requested
• In the event of emergency, secure staff, visitors, and building; act as liaison
with local police or law enforcement
• Maintain daily written and/or electronic tracking sheets, noting all activity on
premises
• Escort staff members or others between vehicles and building as requested
• Assist with additional tasks and duties in other locations as assigned by the
SSL Manager
• Document any incidents, accidents, and report them to the SSL Manager
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Work Experience Required
2+ years’ experience in private or public security, law enforcement, or other
governmental security agencies

Overview of Position
The Sales Associate is the welcoming face of Maui Grown Therapies Patients. The successful candidate will possess outstanding customer service skills, constant desire for self-improvement, and attention to details. This entry-level, non-management position offers the opportunity to learn and grow with the Company from the ground up, and to take on increasing levels of responsibility over time.
Duties and Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Sales Associate include interacting with and educating members face-to-face and by phone; record-keeping; assisting with inventory and cash management; and helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility inside and out.
- Greets Patients in person or on the phone; schedules appointments; assists with Patient intake and renewal procedures
- Maintains Patient records in compliance with State law and Company policy
- Answers questions about the law and the Company from Patients and others
- Assists Patients in selecting products; educates them about safe dosage and other aspects of medical cannabis

The Processing Assistant provides the daily care and focused attention necessary to process and package clean, potent, safe medical cannabis for our patients. The successful candidate will possess a keen attention to detail and record keeping, and a willingness to continually learn more about the subject. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn and grow with the Company from the ground up, and to take on increasing levels of responsibility over time.
Duties and Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of the Processing Assistant include all aspects of the daily care of the cannabis and cannabis derivative products from harvest to packaging; monitoring weights and measurements; presentation; and maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the processing area.
- Assists in harvesting, processing and packaging finished medicine
- Keeps accurate records on each plant using Company system and protocols
- Records and tracks accurate weights and measurements of products throughout the processing and packaging procedures using company systems and protocols
- Maintains a clean, safe environment inside the processing area
- Inspects the cannabis for defects using a variety of magnification tools
- Calibrates, operates, cleans and stores packaging equipment including heat sealers, etc.
- Prints and applies labels to finished product; stores and inventories finished product according to Company policy and as directed by the Director of Production.

Overview of Position
Maui Wellness Group, LLC (“Company”) is a regulated enterprise supervised by the Hawai`i Department of Health (“HDOH”) and Department of Public Safety Narcotics Enforcement Division (“NED”).
This position is responsible for the careful processing of dry cannabis flower from stalk to finished flower for sale according to Company quality standards as well as ensuring proper tracking of batches processed and manicured, including the final finished product (flower), the usable by-product amount (trim) and the unusable by-product (waste) according to company policy and practices as well as HDOH regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
- Breakdown flowers off of stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from useable product
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch.
- After breakdown of plant, employee must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower.
- Candidate must account for each by-product type processed off the flower (i.e. adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking).
- Candidate must manicure flower according to Company quality standards; each manicured batch must pass quality inspection by supervisor
- Identify any problems with the product and communicate with supervisor
- May be responsible for weighing and packing manicured flower for final sale according to Company standards and procedures
Qualifications Education
High school diploma or GED
Work Experience Required
2+ year experience in processing/trimming cannabis, and be able to process a minimum of one pound per day
Other Requirements
- Must be able to manicure at least 1lb of dry flower per 8 hour period.
- Candidate must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of cannabis they are trimming; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality.
- Candidate must exhibit personal hygiene and follow the health guidelines set forth by the Company and the HDOH while processing medical cannabis.
